Don’t be fooled — Dolly Parton’s still got it! The 74-year-old singer was front and center at the 2020 Christmas in Rockefeller Center special on Dec. 2, where she appeared remotely with Jimmy Fallon to perform “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Dolly took things up a notch with her look for the night, as she rocked a sexy Santa costume for the festive event. Her look was complete with a red and white dress and some sexy red heels.
Dolly’s performance for Christmas In Rockefeller Center comes on the heels of the release of her Christmas album, A Holly Dolly Christmas. It dropped on Oct. 2 and was her first holiday album in 30 years (she released Home For Christmas in 1990). The record features vocals from stars like Michael Buble, Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson and more.
The country singer is definitely in the holiday spirit this year, and she has even more in store for her fans! On Dec. 6, she’ll star in a CBS Christmas special called A Holly Dolly Christmas, where she’ll perform in an intimate setting. Additionally, Dolly will share some of her most personal Christmas stories from when she was growing up and with her family.
In addition to Dolly, Christmas in Rockefeller Center also featured performances from Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, Tori Kelly, Gwen Stefani, Pentatonix, Brett Eldredge and many more. The event was hosted by the Today Show co-hosts, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Craig Melvin. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a live audience was not allowed at the event like usual, though — but that didn’t stop the performers from bringing a full night of entertainment during the special!
At the end of the night, the iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree was lit up with more than 50,000 LED lights. It was topped with a Swarovski crystal, as well. All season long, visitors are welcome to come check out the tree in-person, with no tickets required. Of course, wearing masks and social distancing will be enforced in the area.
