Kellyanne Conway’s 16-year-old daughter, Claudia Conway, who made headlines earlier this year for calling out Donald Trump, is headed to American Idol. Claudia revealed the exciting news on TikTok on Nov. 15 with a video of herself filming a confessional for the show. She revealed that she got to meet Ryan Seacrest on-set, and that her audition is ‘soon.’ “Stay tuned for that,” she teased. “I’m very, very nervous, but very excited.”

Claudia’s TikTok account went viral earlier this year when fans realized that she was using it to diss Trump, despite her mom, Kellyanne, working closely with the president for so many years. After the videos made headlines, Kellyanne decided to leave her role at the White House at the end of August to focus on her family. Claudia also took a brief break from social media after the attention became “too much” for her to deal with.
However, in October, she was back in full force. Claudia actually used her social media page to reveal the news that her mom had tested positive for coronavirus that month. Then, she went off on Trump again while commenting about his coronavirus diagnosis. After Trump claimed that he was “feeling really good” while battling COVID, Claudia wrote on TikTok, “guys lmao he’s not doing ‘better’. He is so ridiculous. Apparently he is doing badly lol.”
Kellyanne eventually stepped in to clarify her daughter’s comments. “My daughter Claudia is beautiful & brilliant,” she tweeted. “She has access to top doctors and healthcare and lives comfortably. Like all of you, she speculates on social media. Yet she’s 15. You’re adults.” Kellyanne’s husband, George Conway, has also been publicly vocal against Trump.
We’ll have to wait and see how Claudia does in front of the American Idol judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — when the show’s new season premieres in 2021. This will be the show’s fourth season with this judges’ panel, who debuted on the show in 2018. Season 19 will premiere on Feb. 14, 2021.
