Lately, some of our favorite celebrities have been sporting a new accessories trend — wire frame eyeglasses! I have worn glasses since I was a little girl and have tried all different shapes and styles of glasses there are. Yet, I’m now 23 years old and still have not tried wire-frame glasses because I’ve been too scared I’d look weird, but now I am ready to give it a go, considering Kendall and Gigi made them look so cool. At first sight, I thought the glasses looked like a costume, but now it’s kind of growing on me. Justin Bieber, 23, was the first to try out the wire frame aviator glasses and he looked like a grandpa.

Since then, so many other people have tried it and made it look cool, so we’re ready to rock the trend and now you can try it too. Embracing glasses in general is a hard thing to do, (believe me, I hated them up until a year ago!), so embracing wire frame glasses that look your grandparents’ is even harder. Aside from Biebs, three of our fave supermodels, Kendall Jenner, 21, Gigi Hadid, 21, and Hailey Baldwin, 20, have all rocked the glasses in their own unique way, and proved that you can make them look chic.

Think about it as wearing a pair of your favorite classic aviator sunglasses, but with no lens to cover your eyes. First of all, you’re going to have to wear them at night, because it’s pointless to wear them during the day if they’re not going to protect your eyes. Also, because the glasses steal the spotlight, you want to revolve your whole look around them so that you don’t go overboard. For example, if you’re going to wear them, don’t wear them with a skintight dress and heels, instead, rock them with a pair of pants and a blouse or leggings and a sweater — something casual but chic.

What do you guys think of the wire frame glasses trend? Will you try it out?
