1. She’s college educated

Alison Brie, 34, graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor’s degree in theater. Her big break as an actress didn’t come easy, though — before landing movie or television gigs, she performed as a clown and booked small theater roles in California.

2. She’s starred on shows you’ve seen

After landing her first television role as a hairdresser on Hannah Montana, Alison quickly became a rising star. She became a recurring character, Trudy Campbell, on Mad Men from 2007-2015, and starred as Annie Edison on Community. Since the shows were on at the same time, she often had to film scenes for both of them in one day!

3. She’s in a cover band

Alison, along with Julianna Guill and Cyrina Fallo, created a cover band called The Girls, which is totally more for fun than a serious venture. They perform everything from classic rock hits to “more contemporary fare,” and even throw in an original song or two every once in a while!

4. Her relationship with Dave is very private

It’s no surprise that Alison and Dave Franco kept their wedding a complete secret until after they were married — their relationship as a whole has been incredibly private. In fact, when they got engaged, the news only broke because fans noticed she was wearing a sparkler on her left hand at an event in Aug. 2015. Yep, no official announcement or anything until after the fact, once again!

5. Her British accent is HIGHLY convincing

Alison faked a British accent in the movie The Five Year Engagement, and producer Judd Apatow was entirely convinced that she spoke like that in real life. Talk about talent, huh!?
