Jessica Alba, 35, could have passed for Ariana Grande‘s twin when she stepped out in NYC wearing her long, highlighted locks pulled back into Ari’s go-to high ponytail. Though she recently added bangs to the style, the half up pony has become part of Ariana’s signature look, and we’ve never seen a celeb quite pull it off — until now.
While Ari created a super specific look with her pony, Jess sported a nearly identical updo. Paying attention to every detail, from the high ponytail just above the crown of the head to the slicked back finish and section of hair covering her elastic, the only thing Jess’ ponytail was lacking was the volume Ariana usually has.

The girls even have the same hair color since Ariana added a full head of blonde highlights to her hair earlier this summer. But while Ari usually rocks her pony with a crop top and over-the-knee boots, Jessica opted for a girly style with a hot pink maxi dress and platform sandals.
And since Ariana has been experimenting with loads of different looks, like the long, loose waves she wore in her “Into You” video and casual space buns she’s sported several times this summer, we’re wondering if maybe she’s passing the ponytail torch onto Jess!
