Wow, Demi, 23, and Nick’s, 23, friendship is going on nearly ten years! It all started in 2008 when they starred in the hit Disney Channel original movie, Camp Rock. While they definitely look fondly at the memories they made back then, the singers revealed in a new inteview that Nick was often stuck in the middle of Demi’s relationship with his older brother, Joe, 26. Awkward!
“For a couple of years there was the Joe and Demi romantic thing, so I’d be this emotional bridge for them,” Nick told Billboard. Demi also chimed in, confessing how bad things really got. “There’s a song on my first album called ‘Gonna Get Caught’ about how I thought Joe was a player,” the “Confident” singer explained. “I remember we were on the bus writing the bridge, and Joe is like, ‘I think it should have a happy ending.’ I’m like, ‘No, I don’t think it should.’ And poor Nick is sitting there like, ‘What are we actually deciding here?'” OMG!

Demi and Joe’s troubled relationship continued to put a wedge between her friendship with the “Chains” singer when she reportedly punched a dancer during the Jonas Tour in 2010. “I mean, it was bad,” Nick said. “On top of losing a friend, we have seven dates left, it’s a big production, people are expecting to see Demi and that’s not going to happen. I was angry, because a week before I pleaded with her to confide in me. We talked on the plane for two hours.” Demi had allegedly taken her anger out on the dancer after Joe started dating Twilight starlet Ashley Greene, 29, according to OK! Magazine.

But that was six years ago, and there is no more bad blood. Now, the dynamic duo have embarked on an epic journey on the Future Now Tour! Fortunately for Nick, his brother and Demi are no longer putting him in the middle of their drama, as the exes are now closer than ever. But the “Levels” singer might want to get ready to be Demi’s confidant again now that rumors hint she’s dating New York Giants star, Odell Beckham Jr., 23!
