“Prince didn’t understand a lot of pop culture today. He was puzzled by celebrities like Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He thought it was sweet when Kim joined him on stage. It wasn’t his idea to bring her up with him, but he thought she was pretty and nice. But he knew onstage with him wasn’t the best place for her. After that incident, Prince said about Kim: ‘She is a nice enough girl but she ain’t got no talent. She can’t dance, she can’t sing, she can’t do anything.”
In case you haven’t seen the video yet, here’s what basically went down: Kim was invited on stage for Prince’s show at Madison Square Garden, but when she wouldn’t join him in showing off some dance moves, he had enough. “Get off the stage!” he yelled at her.
“OMG Prince just pulled me up on stage!!!!!! I was shaking!!!!!” she tweeted afterward. “I was so nervous, I froze when Prince touched me.”
Of course, the reality star has no hard feelings against the “Purple Rain” singer, and like dozens of other celebrities, she honored him following his April 21 death. “I will always remember this moment with one of my favorite artists!” she captioned an Instagram photo of them together. “I was so star struck I froze! RIP Prince.”
Prince was found unresponsive in an elevator at his home in Paisley Park on April 21, and after his autopsy was completed one day later, his body was cremated. The cause of death is still unknown and won’t be made public for weeks as toxicology reports are reviewed, but Prince’s memory will certainly always live on.
