The 34-year-old was at a routine photo shoot during the last week of January, but she fell and injured her neck on set, according to TMZ. She went to the hospital to get checked out, but was released the very same day. Katie took to Twitter on Jan. 29 to reveal that she “pinched a nerve,” and had gotten it adjusted that morning, but was still in pain.

The model’s stroke happened on Feb. 1, and it’s believed that she did much more than pinch a nerve, but actually tore her neck’s carotid artery, which caused a blood clot. Katie fought for her life for a few days, but was eventually taken off life support on Feb. 4. So incredible sad.

What’s even more sad is that Katie has a beautiful 7-year-old daughter, Mia. A GoFundMe page has been set up, taking donations to help support the little girl’s education and more, but this is such a tragic loss for Katie’s adorable daughter. Katie’s last message on Instagram was a positive one, posted just hours before the stroke. “Hope everyone is having a great Monday!” she captioned a sexy photo of herself. Out hearts are with her family and loved ones during this awful time.

HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that a fall at a photo shoot could’ve had such a drastic effect on Katie?
