Welp, we’re throwing in the towel on the whole “believing in love” thing. This is so sad! The hilarious Keegan filed for divorce from his wife of 17 years on the very last day of 2015, reports TMZ. According to docs, they’ve been separated since Nov., and have no kids together. They tied the knot way back in Dec. of 1998! We’re not crying, we just have something in our eye.

Keegan has become a worldwide comedy favorite with the Emmy-nominated show he writes and stars in with partner Jordan Peele, called Key & Peele. The pair does various sketches making fun of things in everyday life that sometimes lead to some crazy outcomes. He’s also had bit parts in probably every single one of your favorite sitcoms including Parks & Rec and How I Met Your Mother, plus dozens of movies. He even got to go to the White House Correspondents Dinner as “Luther,” a character he plays in his show that helps President Obama express anger.

His (soon to be ex) wife Cynthia is also involved on the comedy scene, having done skits with Keegan at the Second City theater, and has even appeared in a few of the Key & Peele episodes. She is also an accomplished dialect coach who has worked on films like Bad Teacher and Miami Vice. We’re so sad to see this pair call it quits, but we hope they can find happiness after moving on!
