Adam Levine On Jordan Smith’s ‘The Voice’ Win: He Deserves A Record Deal – Hollywood Life

Adam Levine Raves Over Jordan Smith’s ‘The Voice’ Win: Record Label Better Do Him ‘Right’

“There have been shortcomings on the other side of the fence,” Adam admitted to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Shocking or surprising — it is true! Jordan has had so much more success on iTunes than most artists ever have. I lost count of the No.1 hits he has had. This is a no-brainer and the kid is so special. Musically, talent-wise, and the person he is –he deserves it! We bring everyone to this beautiful point and the record label now has the chance to do right for Jordan Smith. Right Republic Records? You will do right for Jordan Smith! That is all I have to say about that.”

While Season’s 3 and 4 winners, Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, have made a bit of a rise in the country music scene, it’s hard not to notice that none of the other Voice winners have really been able to make names for themselves. Jordan was SUCH a fan favorite this season, though, and, as Adam pointed out, has had no trouble getting fans to buy his songs from the show on iTunes — could this finally be the time things change?!

Adam hasn’t won the show since back in Season 5, and he’s admittedly excited that he’s finally able to get the bragging rights back…especially against Blake Shelton. “It feels so good [to beat Blake]. I’m going to enjoy this night,” the 36-year-old said during a press conference. “It’s really quite beautiful because Jordan gets to win The Voice and I get to tear Blake apart for the next six months, bragging about my win and his drought of victory.” Oh man, we can’t wait to see how this plays out next season!

It was basically no question that Jordan was going to be the winner of The Voice this season. From the very beginning he was a frontrunner, and he won America over week after week by landing his songs on the top of the iTunes charts and consistently getting voted through until he was named the winner. We can’t wait to see what he does next! In the meantime,

HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Jordan winning The Voice?
