Louis Tomlinson, who co-wrote ‘Perfect’ with Harry Styles, just admitted that the love song is indeed ‘influenced’ by Harry’s past relationship with Taylor Swift!
We can finally put the rumors to rest! The song “Perfect” on One Direction‘s new album “Made In The A.M.” was definitely influenced by Taylor Swift and Harry Styles‘ romance, according to Louis Tomlinson himself! Louis dropped the bomb and went on to talk about how “everybody draws from personal experiences,” when writing songs — see exactly what he said!
“I think people interpret songs in different ways,” Harry told People magazine when they asked about the rumors that “Perfect” is about Taylor. “I’m never going to tell someone what a song’s about because I feel like it’s up to them.”
While Harry remained coy and tight-lipped about the rumors, his co-writer and band mate, Louis, was more revealing. “I think everybody draws from personal experiences, so of course to a degree I’m sure that influenced some of it,” Louis admitted about the song. “Down to specifics to who that song is exactly about, that’s fan’s interpretation, I suppose.” No backtracking now, Louis! You just said the song was definitely influenced by Taylor!
HollywoodLife.com also previously learned that Taylor is pretty happy about the song, which is inspired by her! “Taylor isn’t coming out and bragging that the song’s about her, but the word is she’s happy about it. It’s a great song, why wouldn’t she be?” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY
