Selena Gomez Goes Out After Jake Bailey Suicide — Singer Says It’s ‘Hard’ – Hollywood Life

Selena Gomez Mourns Jake Bailey & Reveals After His Death: ‘It Was Hard To Go Out’

Selena Gomez put on a brave face three days after her longtime makeup artist, Jake Bailey was found dead in his SUV after an alleged suicide. The singer attended the InStyle Awards but said it was very 'hard' to even get out of the house for the event because she was so sad. Selena Gomez did her best to smile on the red carpet at the InStyle Awards on Oct. 26  but she admits it was very difficult because she just lost her good friend, Jake Bailey. Selena, 23, and the makeup artist were good friends and he had actually done her makeup for her Revival cover but even though she managed to go to the event she said on Instagram that it wasn't easy.

Selena wanted her fans to know that although she was smiling on the carpet and posing for pics, she is mourning the loss of her friend. “It was kinda hard to go out tonight but I would do anything for @kystyle -she deserves the award of the night at #InStyleAwards she makes us ladies feel beautiful always x.” Selena was there to present an award to stylist Kate Young.
Jake was found slumped over the wheel of his car on Oct. 23 by his assistant — so sad. He had worked with many famous faces but most recently his most high profile client was Selena. “Mr. Bailey was found unresponsive by his friend at his residence this morning at 8:25 on the 2200 block of Holly drive,” Los Angeles County Department of Medical examiner/coroner; assistant chief, Ed Winter, tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “There was an apparent suicide involving carbon monoxide poison. There’s an autopsy pending. And the final cause of death are pending full toxicology.”

Just 11 days before Jake’s death he posted a pic of him and Selena at a photo shoot. He also revealed that his favorite song off her album was “Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself.” It’s safe to say that Jake will be missed by so many in Hollywood and around the world.
