First of all, the scene for the entire video is at a hotel overlooking New York City, and Haylor spent the most-publicized portion of their relationship in the Big Apple. They made headlines on numerous occasions for being seen coming in and out of the same hotel in Manhattan, so the location choice definitely seems calculated here.
We also couldn’t help but notice that right toward the beginning of the music video, Liam Payne, 22, quickly holds up a Polaroid picture. Everybody knows Tay loves her Polaroids — I mean, the cover of her hit album 1989 is a Polaroid pic of herself — and she even sings, “You took a Polaroid of us,” in her song “Out Of The Woods,” a track which is very clearly about her relationship with Harry.

The 21-year-old actually sings the part of “Perfect” that contains the most obvious Taylor reference — “If you like cameras flashing every time you go out and if you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about” — and it only makes sense that that portion of the vid focuses directly on him. The scene shows him lying down on a bed with smoke billowing in the background, which is oddly reminiscent of Taylor’s own video for “Style,” another track inspired by the 1D singer.
HollywoodLifers, have we convinced you that this song is totally about the “Shake It Off” singer?
