Nick Lachey’s romantic date night with his wife, Vanessa Lachey, didn’t turn out quite as planned. Nick and Vanessa were riding in their Uber when it was involved in a frightening car accident! Click to see the pic!
Some dates end up feeling like a car crash, but for Nick Lachey, 41, and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, 34, their date night was a literal wreck! The two lovebirds decided to go out for a fun time on the town. But, while putting their romantic plans in the fast lane, Nick and Vanessa wound up in a scary rear-end collision!
Nick shared some very sound advice after the fender bender. “Always wear your seatbelt when you @uber.” The former 98 Degrees singer shared a picture of the accident on Oct. 10. Nick’s picture shows how one car rear-ended the other, almost scooping the car in front up on top of its hood. Yikes! Nick was right when he said “there is no such thing as a guaranteed safe ride.”
Fans were obviously worried from this scary wreck, concerned that Nick or Vanessa may have suffered whiplash — or worse! Thankfully, he confirmed they were both okay on Twitter. “For the record,” he tweeted, “Vanessa and I are both fine after our little Uber accident. Just a sobering reminder to always buckle up!”
While it’s great that Nick and Vanessa are okay, it’s a bummer that their date night was a literal car crash. Hopefully, they’ll soon find a sitter for their children, Camden John and Brooklyn Elisabeth, and get another chance for a romantic date. Perhaps next time, they’ll take the bus?

Nick was a-okay from his car wreck, but he didn’t feel so great about his ex’s odd trainwreck on HSN. Jessica Simpson appeared on the Home Shopping Network on Sept. 17, to promote her new denim line. Jess acted odd during the segment and some friends thought she was drunk! Nick is “embarrassed” for Jessica, a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com, adding that Nick is “glad he’s not in that chaotic mess of a relationship anymore!”
Do you make sure to buckle your seatbelt whenever to take an Uber or a cab, HollywoodLifers? Remember — travel safe!
