The “New Problems” singer made his salty comments about hanging out with Selena on July 16. “It is kind of [annoying], because on a daily basis, I don’t hang out with celebs. All my close friends are normal dudes and then I will hang out with some girl who is a musician and everyone thinks that’s what it’s all about. Again, I like to be friends with everyone,” he told E! News. Cody was referencing the time he was pictured eating ice cream with the “Good For You” singer.

Selena Gomez Hoping Justin Bieber Will Surprise Her With Romantic Birthday Vacation

If Cody finds it so annoying to hang out with Selena, maybe she should try and spend time with her first love Justin Bieber. In fact, she’d love that. “Selena hasn’t been talking about having a birthday party. Her friends think it’s because she’s wishing Justin will take her somewhere. That’s why she doesn’t want to plan anything,” a source tells EXCLUSIVELY. “If Justin doesn’t step up to the plate and take her somewhere, her friends will,” our insider explains. “Everyone loves her so much — they’ll make sure she has a special birthday no matter what, but they all know her first choice would be to go on a romantic vacation with Justin.” Does this Jelena drama ever end?
