While Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan seemed to be having a blast at Taylor’s Billboard Music Awards after party on May 17, their One Direction band mate, Harry, was nowhere in sight! But if Ed had his way, that wouldn’t have been the case.

“Ed has been trying to get Taylor, Calvin and Harry all together to hang out. He doesn’t see any reason for them all not to be friends,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He invited all of the One Direction boys and wanted Harry to join in, but Harry knew it would be awkward, so he decided against it.”

Unfortunately for Harry, the BBMAs were all about Taylor and Calvin! Throughout the entire awards show, the hot new couple was displaying PDA — even for the cameras when she continuously won award after award!

“Taylor has never been happier, and this was her sweet revenge on Harry,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She was over the moon that Harry was there to witness how crazy she and Calvin are for each other. First of all, she was able to show Harry that, yes, she is completely over him. Second, Calvin rocks her world, more than Harry ever did or could.”

Hm…perhaps the sexy Brit didn’t want to subject himself to any more of that at the after party, and thus, decided not to attend!

He’s completely confident in himself and his relationship with Taylor,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “But he worries about Taylor’s emotions. He’s very protective over her now, and knows she gets uncomfortable around Harry because of their past.”
