Taylor Swift’s Ex-Boyfriends — Which One Is ‘Shake It Off’ About?

It turns out no man is safe from Taylor’s revenge anthems! When she sings about “fakers,” “heartbreakers” and the “liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world” in “Shake If Off”, Taylor is referring to not one, but ALL of her former flames!

“The song is not about a certain ex but more a generalization of all of them mixed into one,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY of “Shake It Off.”

A second source confirms to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “This song is a mashup of all of her dating experiences so far and how she’s found her own strength. Her big theme with this album is finding herself outside of a relationship. Everyone knows her as this total boy crazy romantic but she’s been working so hard to be okay on her own, without a guy, and she’s proud of how far she’s come. She feels like no one realizes how much she’s changed. It’s a message to other women but it’s also stuff she wishes she could go back in time and tell herself.”

We, for one, are so proud of the woman Taylor has become! So this one’s for you, Jake, Harry and John — perhaps next time you’ll think twice before you cross a powerful and talented lady like Taylor Swift!

Taylor Swift Debuts New Song ‘Shake It Off’ & Announces New Album ‘1989’

Taylor debuted “Shake It off” via an exciting Yahoo! live stream event on Aug. 18, performing the surefire hit before her fans at the top of the Empire State Building.

If you love Tay’s new song, there’s more where that came from! “Shake It Off” is just the first single off her upcoming album 1989, which she says was inspired by late ’80s pop. The album will drop on Oct. 27 — we can’t wait to hear more!
