‘Glee’: Dani Is A Better Match For Santana Than Brittany Was – Hollywood Life

‘Glee’: Dani Is Better For Santana Than Brittany Ever Was

Sorry Brittana fans! I was all for the Brittany/Santana romance that brewed during the first four seasons of 'Glee,' but now that Britt is off at MIT, I honestly think that Dani is exactly what Santana needs -- and actually is better than Brittany ever was for Santana. It takes a super strong woman to tame Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera) on Glee -- and Dani (Demi Lovato) is just that and more.

Santana: Dani Is A Better Match Than Brittany

While Brittany (Heather Morris) was a hilarious addition to Glee, her relationship with Santana was always rocky.

First, she was bisexual, which Santana was never comfortable with. Santana’s extremely strong personality needs someone who is 100 percent committed to them and only them.

Even during their on-again off-again phase, Brittany fell for Sam (Chord Overstreet). Santana was willing to fight for her — remember Sam and her duet of “Make No Mistake (She’s Mine)”?

However, Brittany never fought for Santana. Sure, they loved each other. She may have been Santana’s first love, but they could never make a committed, real relationship work.

Dani Is Everything Santana Wants & Needs

In a relationship, proximity is a good thing — so with Santana and Dani both in NY, it works.

From the moment Santana admitted to Rachel that she had that “panic sweat” under her boobs, we knew it was love.

Sure, Dani’s ability to play guitar obviously won over my heart, but it was much more than that. The chemistry between them –Dani’s smile at Santana across the diner, Santana actually getting nervous — it’s the excitement that wasn’t there with Brittany.

She’s already become part of the NYC crew, even joining in with Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Santana to celebrate Rachel (Lea Michele)’s new Broadway role!

I can’t wait to see where this relationship goes — and what other songs they sing together. “Here Comes the Sun” was basically flawless, and I’m sure it’s just a preview of what’s to come.

So, HollywoodLifers — are you team Brittana or Team Dantana? Let me know!
