Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardiem’s Baby Name Revealed
Almost two weeks after she was born on July 22, Penelope’s daughter’s name has been revealed. Her name is Luna Encinas Cruz!
How adorable! Her first name means moon and the rest of her name stems from her parents’ paternal last names — Encinas is Javier’s first surname, and Cruz is Penelope’s last name.
In fact, Luna shares the rest of her name with her older brother, Leo Encinas Cruz, 2 1/2. How fitting for Luna to also have a “L” name!
Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem Keep Their Family Life Private
Penelope and Javier have been together since 2007, but married in 2010. Since then, they have built a happy family that, for the most part, has been out of the spotlight — despite both of their booming acting careers.
Penelope told Vogue in 2011 after giving birth to Leo that she wants to keep her family life private, no matter how many kids she and Javier have.
“I want my son — and my kids if I have more — to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible,” she said. “The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work that we do doesn’t give anybody the right to invade our privacy.”
They’ve done a great job so far, but we’re excited to finally know their daughter’s name — now we can’t wait to see how adorable she is!
