Russell Brand Sent Divorce Text To Katy Perry — Haven’t Spoken Since

“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him. Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011,” Katy told Vogue.

Ouch! A text message doesn’t seem very respectful or appropriate.

In court documents filed in Los Angeles, Russell, 38, cited “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for divorce.

The couple married on October 23, 2010.

Katy Perry Still Believes In Love

Despite her painful breakup with Russell, Katy, 28, admits that she hopes to get married again one day.

“I hope I don’t have to live as a widow. An emotional widow. No, I don’t believe that. But I think that I can just right now focus on me and strengthening myself and my emotional support system,” she said.

Regardless of what happens, though, she’s happy being alone.

I’m not in a relationship, I’m just on my own — I am myself in my own bed. I have to be happy being alone, and I am happy. I believe that I will be loved again, in the right way. I know I’m worth it.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Was it right or wrong for Russell Brand to tell Katy Perry of divorce via text?
