Willow Smith is the is the 23-year-old daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. She has two older brothers Jaden Smith and half brother Trey Smith. She was born in Los Angeles on Oct. 21, 2000. Her dad initially got her into acting, with her debut coming his 2007 film ‘I Am Legend.’ She broke out as a star on her own in 2010 with the song ‘Whip My Hair” and followed it up with ’20th Century Girl.’ She released her debut album ‘Ardipithecus’ in 2015 and followed it up with 2017’s “The 1st .’
While speaking with Allure in May 2024, Willow insisted that she worked tirelessly to attain her stardom rather than lean on her famous parents.
“I truly believe that my spirit is a strong spirit and that, even if my parents weren’t who they were, I would still be a weirdo and a crazy thinker,” she said. “I definitely think that a little bit of insecurity has driven me harder because people do think that the only reason I’m successful is because of my parents. That has driven me to work really hard to try to prove them wrong. But nowadays, I don’t need to prove s**t to anybody.”
