‘Weird Science’ became one of the late John Hughes’ many successful films of the 1980s. It starred Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith as teenagers ‘Gary Wallace’ and ‘Wyatt Donnelly’ respectively, and Kelly Le Brock as their creation ‘Lisa’. It also starred other well known actors, including Bill Paxton and Robert Downey Jr.
The plot of ‘Weird Science’ consists of Gary and Wyatt, who are considered nerds in their high school, coming up with a plan to try and create their dream girl on Wyatt’s computer after being inspired by watching the 1931 film ‘Frankenstein’. Their plan miraculously works, creating the perfect and confident Lisa, who ends up taking them on a bold journey of self-discovery that includes memorable moments and experiences they’ll never forget. The film was released on Aug. 2, 1985.
