The new art comes in the midst of several nationwide protests, including those in Washington D.C., that have been taking place since shortly after George Floyd’s tragic death on May 25, 2020. The protests have brought thousands of people in support of racial justice to the streets with signs that show off powerful messages. They have also put on silent demonstrations and have shouted chants for justice while being surrounded by police officers trying to maintain control of the protest areas.

Many protesters have gathered outside the White House as well in the hopes of getting President Donald Trump and other officials’ attention as they express their disapproval of racism and their hopes for positive change.
