Vanessa Simmons – Pics — Born in August 1983, Vanessa Simmons is the daughter of hip hop legend, Run DMC rapper Joseph ‘Rev Run’ Simmons. She’s also the niece of entrepreneur and music mogul Russell Simmons. The ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ star has appeared in a number of reality TV shows, featuring members of her famous family. Fans know her from shows like ‘Run’s House’ and ‘Daddy’s Girls,’ which also starred her younger sister, Angela. Vanessa has also made a name for herself in the acting world appearing in projects such as the BET series, ‘Games People Play’ and daytime soap opera, ‘Guiding Light.’

In February 2014 she became a mother for the first time when she gave birth to her daughter Ava. The little girl’s father is her long-term boyfriend Mike Wayans who is also from a showbiz family. In addition to entertainment Vanessa is an entrepreneur and businesswoman. She co-founded the line Pastry Shoes with her sister Angela.
