The movie follows Mia Thermopolis, who thinks she’s just an ordinary teenager. In reality, she’s a princess of Genovia. The movie starred Anne Hathaway as Mia and Julie Andrews as Queen Clarice. The movie was such a hit that a sequel was greenlit. ‘The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement’ was released in 2004.

When ‘The Princess Diaries’ came out, Anne was an unknown star. The movie was her feature film debut. Since the movie and its sequel, Anne has starred in countless other hit films like ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘Interstellar,’ ‘Love and Other Drugs,’ and more.
