Sarah Palin — Sarah Palin is the former Governor of Alaska, as well as a former Republican vice presidential candidate. She rose to fame in 2008 when the late Senator John McCain, vying for the presidency as a Republican against Barack Obama, asked her to be his running mate. Her quirky personality and media gaffes made her a household name. Memorable moments from the campaign include not being able to name a newspaper when Katie Couric asked her in an interview what she likes to read. She announced that her eldest daughter, Bristol Palin, was pregnant at the age of 17, just two months before the 2008 general election. Sarah has five children: Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track, and Trig Palin. She also has three children from Bristol; Willow is currently expecting Twins. She has been married to fisherman and snow machine racer Todd Palin since August 1988; he filed for divorce in Alaska in September 2019, eight days after their 31st anniversary.
