President John F. Kennedy was just as much of a family man as he was a politician. See photos of his children and his three grandchildren here.

President John F. Kennedy, born May 29, 1917, is perhaps as just as well known for his family as his presidency. The 35th Commander In Chief was born into a political dynasty, as the son of Joseph P. Kennedy Sr and his brother Robert F. Kennedy would also serve in the government.

JFK had four kids with Jackie Bouvier (later Onassis), though only two survived into adulthood. Son John F. Kennedy Jr. died in a plane accident in 1999. Daughter Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg is JFK and Jackie’s only living child. She is the mom of JFK’s three grandchildren, Rose, Jack, and Tatiana, the mom of JFK’s only great grandchild, son Edwin.

There are plenty of photos of the famous family members. Here, is the patriarch. Then-U.S. Representative John F. Kennedy is seen during his time running for the U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts. The couple wed in 1953 and were together until his death. She married shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis in 1968 and they were together until his death in 1975. After that, Jackie had a long-term relationship with diamond trader Maurice Tempelsman from around 1980 to 1994, when she passed away.
