Jessie is best known as an English singer/songwriter. She started her career appearing in a musical on stage at age 11 while growing up in London and studied at the BRIT school before signing with Gut Records and getting a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. She went onto sign with Republic Records before breaking into the spotlight as a popular singer.

Her debut single ‘Do It Like a Dude’ was released and followed by the mega hit ‘Price Tag’ in 2011. Her debut album, ‘Who You Are’, debuted at number two on the UK charts. Her success led her to performing at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and during the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

She has since released other hit albums and songs, including ‘Wild’, ‘It’s My Party’, and ‘Thunder’.

The news comes just a little over a year after the singer shared the devastating news that she had suffered a miscarriage. Jessie J gave an emotional, two-hour acoustic gig in front of around 200 fans at The Hotel Cafe in LA in November 2021 just a day after suffering a miscarriage, sharing the news with the audience gathered at the venue. During the intimate gig, Jessie spoke of how devastated she was and told how she had been told in 2015 that she would never have children.
