Kate Plus 8: Gosselin Kids Then & Now — All grown up! Kate Gosselin and her ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ pack won America’s hearts after the Gosselin family’s television show premiered in 2007. Jon and Kate Gosselin welcomed twin daughters (Cara and Madelyn) in 2000, followed by sextuplets (Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Aaden, Joel, and Leah) in 2004. It’s hard to believe, but the sextuplets are now 18 years old!

In 2009, Jon and Kate divorced, which led the show’s name to be changed to ‘Kate Plus 8’ in 2010. After cancellation, the program went on hiatus between 2011 and 2014. ‘Kate Plus 8’ returned for four more seasons until its last hurrah in 2017.

By the finale, all the Gosselin kids were teenagers! More than a decade after ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ first aired, the family is now divided. Hannah and Collin live with dad Jon since before he won temporary full custody of Collin in Dec. 2018. Meanwhile, the six other kids live with Kate, as of 2022.

Kate has moved on from showbusiness since ‘Kate Plus Date’ was on the air. She obtained her Registered Nurse certification in North Carolina in Jun. 2021. The reality star worked as a nurse before the TLC show.

Jon remarked on his ex’s career near the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic in Apr. 2020, telling The Sun, “I have no idea what she’s doing for work. I mean you think – as she claims she has her nursing license – that she’d be on the front line. That would be a good idea. Just saying.”

Kate relocated the family from Pennsylvania to North Carolina in March 2019. At the time of the move, an insider EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife, “Kate picked up and moved the kids down to North Carolina to spend their junior and senior years there with a totally new life. The two older girls are in no rush to go to North Carolina. They weren’t happy about the move because they have no friends there.”

Cara Gosselin

Cara Gosselin — Cara Gosselin’s transformation through the years! She’s grown so much.

Since the show, Cara has gone on to study at Fordham University in New York. She is a member of the rowing team with a major in Interdisciplinary Math and Economics.

Cara talked about her distance from her father with People in 2016. “I wouldn’t even know what to say about him,” she told the magazine.

Mady Gosselin

Mady Gosselin — Madelyn “Mady” Kate Gosselin loves being the center of attention, according to her TLC bio. She also loves singing and performing and is known to be quite a “firecracker.” She and her twin Cara share an October 8th birthday. Mady and Cara split up for college. She attends Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

Mady expressed her anger towards her dad Jon in 2016 interview with People. She said, “He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane. He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.” She added, “He doesn’t even know us. How can he dare to talk about us?”

Alexis Gosselin

Alexis Gosselin — Alexis Faith Gosselin is the oldest of the sextuplets. She’s also the loudest member of the Gosselin family is considered the family comedian.

Hannah Gosselin

Hannah Gosselin — Hannah Joy Gosselin is considered by her mom to be the most mature of the sextuplets. She’s extremely particular about everything and is “mommy’s little helper.” She now lives with her father, Jon.

She defended her father after Kate accused him of being physically abusive to Collin in Sep. 2020. “My dad has been there for me and Collin no matter what,” she told the Daily Mail.

“He’s been a very loving and supportive dad throughout everything. Collin is facing many difficult issues and my dad is doing everything in his power to help him. My dad loves us and has never been abusive to us in any way.”

Jon commended his daughter for speaking up in Nov. 2021, EXCLUSIVELY telling HollywoodLife, “Hannah’s a free spirit. I hope her opening up will allow the others to open as well, so maybe the others will start speaking their mind more freely, knowing they have a voice then.”

Leah Gosselin

Leah Gosselin — Leah Hope Gosselin is known as “Little Princess” in the Gosselin household. She loves animals and is particularly close to Hannah.

Jon reached out to Leah, Aaden, Joel and Alexis, who live with Kate, during a May 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight. He told them, “I love you. You’re welcome to come over, call Hannah, Collin. I don’t know what’s holding you up. I don’t know what the ill will is, but if you watch or don’t watch or see it on the internet, I love you, happy birthday.

He went on saying, “Sorry I have to go through media channels. I know no one likes that or whatever, but it’s kinda hard to reach out to you. But anyway, good luck and hopefully you call, or call Hannah, and you can walk to my house. It’s all good.”

Aaden Gosselin

Aaden Gosselin — Aaden Jonathan Gosselin was the smallest of the sextuplets at birth. He’s nearsighted and began wearing glasses at age two.

Jon shared his hope to reunite with his other 6 in Jun. 2021, telling HollywoodLife exclusively, “I hope one day maybe they just knock on my door or maybe drop me a line or text me. Something like that.”

“I kind of just have to hold on to hope and not give up and let them know that I love them and I’m here no matter what. I’m not going to give up but I can’t dwell on the whys and hows,” he added. “I just have to focus on getting myself right and the ones that are here and doing the best that I can and being centered and being in a good relationship and focusing on myself as well.”

Collin Gosselin

Collin Gosselin — Collin Gosselin was the largest of the sextuplet babies, he’s “outspoken” and can also be “stubborn,” according to his TLC bio.

He now lives with his father, who won full custody of Collin in 2018. In 2020, however, Collin accused his dad of abusing him in a since-deleted social media post. According to The Sun, he said, “My dad is a liar. Yesterday he beat me up and thought nothing of it, he punched me in the face and gave me a swollen nose and I started bleeding. He then continued to kick me in the ribs after I was on the floor. He is a liar.”

Jon denied the allegations and in Nov. 2021 told Dr. Oz his son had enlisted in the armed services. “My son recently enlisted in the service so he could graduate early or he could stay another year,” he explained. “He wants to go in the reserves, he’s choosing between the army and the marines. He scored really well on his testing for the army.”

Joel Gosselin — Joel Kevin Gosselin is the youngest sextuplet. According to his TLC bio, he is “the most easygoing Gosselin”.
