Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey — Matthew McConaughey has become one of America’s most beloved figures, and he definitely has his breakout role in the 1993 coming-of-age film Dazed & Confused to thank for his rise to stardom! Matthew went on to star in various other popular films like Angels in the Outfield, Amistad, The Newton Boys, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

The Texas native gained critical acclaim for his role as a cowboy diagnosed with AIDS in the 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club and it earned him numerous prestigious awards, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He also became even more noticed critically as an actor for his role in the 2014 HBO drama series True Detective.

He married Camila Alves in 2012 after they dated for six years and before the marriage, they had son Levi in 2008, daughter Vida in 2010, and son Livingston in 2012.

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck — In the 1993 flick, Ben Affleck played Fred O’Bannion, a high school senior who was held back a year in school and is poised with hazing the incoming freshman.

Now, Ben is still acting, but he’s also worked as a screenwriter, producer, and director. The California native (who was raised in Boston) is known for an array of high-profile films, including Good Will Hunting, Armageddon, Argo, Gone Girl and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Ben married his Daredevil co-star, Jennifer Garner, in 2005, with whom he shares three children with: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. In 2015, after much media scrutiny about their marriage, Affleck and Garner announced they were divorcing. And, after a brief reconciliation — in an attempt to save their marriage — the couple filed for divorce in April 2017. It was reportedly an amicable split in which they petitioned for joint legal and physical custody of their children.

Currently, Ben is back with his former partner Jennifer Lopez, whom he dated from 2002-2004, and “Bennifer” stans are eating up every PDA-filled photo-op of the two lovebirds.

Adam Goldberg

Adam Goldberg — Much like a lot of his co-stars, Dazed & Confused was Adam Goldberg’s first big breaktout role. In the movie, the actor played Mike Newhouse, the nerdy high school teen who decides on hitting up the big blowout party, although he’s a bit on edge about the decision.

Since his breakout, Adam continued to thrive in his acting career, appearing in films like Zodiac, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, the Lifetime movie Anna Nicole, and more. He also starred in 2 Days in Paris, a film written and directed by actress Julie Delpy, who co-starred in the film with Adam.

Jason London

Jason London — Jason London was known for playing Randall “Pink” Floyd in the stoner flick, acting as a high school junior and rising football player who didn’t give in to signing a pledge where he would agree to refraining from drug use over the summer.

Since his Dazed days, Jason appeared in a few other movies like Rage: Carrie 2, Jason and the Argonauts, Nightworld, and more. The actor was arrested for public intoxication in 2021 for engaging in a bar fight and acting aggressively toward officers.

Joey Lauren Adams

Joey Lauren Adams — Joey Lauren Adams made her big screen debut with Dazed & Confused as well as another ’90s classic that came out in the same year: Coneheads. She played a senior cheerleader with a spirited attitude, Simone Kerr in the movie.

Following her debut, Joey reunited with her Dazed co-star Ben Affleck in the Kevin Smith movies Chasing Amy and Mallrats. She’s also appeared in the TV shows The United States of Tara and Switched at Birth.

Rory Cochrane

Rory Cochrane — Rory Cochrane played one of the best-known and beloved characters of Dazed & Confused: the pothead upperclassman Ron Slater.

Following his hilariously memorable debut in the ’90s flick, Rory went on to play Lucas in another ’90s fav Empire Records and also appeared in the Fox series 24. Moreover, Rory had a role in his former co-star Ben Affleck’s directorial debut Argo.

Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich — Milla Jovovich, who was a former model at the time, played the spaced-out pothead Michelle Burroughs in the Richard Linklater-directed flick.

The actress, who is married to director Paul W.S. Anderson, has appeared in numerous films and projects since her Dazed debut, like the Resident Evil franchise, The Fifth Element, Zoolander, and more.

Shawn Andrews

Shawn Andrews — Shawn Andrews is best known for his role as Kevin Pickford in the 1993 movie, serving as a gawky sidekick to Rory Cochrane’s pothead. He also played Milla Jovovich’s boyfriend in the flick, and the pair actually got married on set of the film — when Milla was only 16. Her mom got the marriage annulled two months later, however!

Shawn has flown comparitively under the radar after acting in the teen comedy, although he did receive a Best Actor award at the Brooklyn Film Festival for 2008’s Fix.
