Remember Christine McVie’s life and legacy in photos on the first anniversary of her death.
Christine McVie was a songbird who will be remembered forever. The songstress, born July 12, 1943 in London, was a 70s rock icon, as the keyboardist and vocalist of Fleetwood Mac. She passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 79 following a ‘short illness,’ per her family’s statement.
Her longtime bandmates released a heartfelt statement not long after the news. “There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie,” it read.
“She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed.”
Here, Christine can be seen in a 1978 photo for Fleetwood Mac. She had a rocker-chic blonde shag with dark eyeliner and she wore a sequined blouse. For more memories of Fleetwood Mac’s Christina McVie, look through our gallery.
