She began her modeling career with consecutive appearances on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue between 1979-1981. Christie worked on campaigns for Diet Coke, Revlon, and more! She signed a 25-year contract with CoverGirl and appeared on the covers of magazines like Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and more.

Christie has also dabbled in acting, appearing in small roles on the big and small screen. She notably appeared in the NBC series Parks and Recreation as the stunning Gayle Gergich, the wife of put-upon character Jerry Gergich. She has been married four times in her life and has three children from her second, third, and fourth marriages, including daughter and model Sailor Brinkley Cook.
