Hollywood is full of stars but only some talents have what it takes to lead a decades-long career. Only some select celebs have made it to their 80s, and we’re so glad that these guys made the list. These 80-year-old-plus stars are beloved actors, musicians, and models who have made an impression on so many.

Julie Andrews was fresh as a daisy when she made her film debut in 1964’s ‘Mary Poppins’. Now she’s 87, an Oscar, Grammy and Emmy winner, and an icon to generations. While she may be a new name to Gen-Z, her voice might still ring a bell. Julie began narrating the Netflix hit Bridgerton in 2020, as the voice of Lady Whistledown.

His major film roles include Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993), Everyone Says I Love You (1996), Flirting with Disaster (1996), The Aviator (2004), Tower Heist (2011), Bridge of Spies (2015), and Marriage Story (2019). He also had prominent roles in the shows The West Wing (2004-2006), The Big C (2011–2013), Ray Donovan (2018–2020), and The Good Fight (2018–2019).

He turned to film more as the years went on, starring in critically-acclaimed features like ‘A Bridge Too Far’ (1977), David Lynch’s ‘The Elephant Man’ (1980), and ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ (1991), where he played the sinister Hannibal Lecter. Superhero fans found a reason to love Anthony when he was cast in the ‘Thor’ movies as Odin.

Funny lady Carol Burnett, 90, carved a path for female comedians everywhere as the leader of her groundbreaking variety show ‘The Carol Burnett Show’, which originally aired on CBS from 1967 to 1978. During and after the show’s 279-episode run, she also appeared in projects like ‘Pete ‘n’ Tillie’ (1972), ‘Annie’ (1982), and ‘Horton Hears a Who!’ (2008). She also won an Emmy for her TV work, and boasts several Grammy nominations from the audiobook versions of her memoirs. In 2019, the Golden Globes named an award after her for career achievement in television. She was its first recipient.

Patrick Stewart has done everything from sci-fi to Shakespeare over his seven decades of acting. The now-83-year-old trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company before moving onto Broadway, and then the screen. He found a new world of fans as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ (1987–94), and the franchise’s films.

He became beloved by comic book fans after assuming the role of Professor Charles Xavier in the ‘X-Men’ films. Both parts made him a fixture on the convention circuit. And not one to leave acting behind, Patrick has been the lead of ‘Star Trek: Picard’ since 2020.

She retired from film in 1973 and has kept out of the spotlight, save for some rare appearances, since.

He has 60 gold discs and sales of over more than 100 million albums and 100 million singles, and is the ‘most successful songwriter’ in United Kingdom chart history. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1997 for his work in revolutionizing pop music.
