For all the To All The Boys fans out there, the next chapter has arrived in XO, Kitty. The Netflix series, out on May 18, follows Anna Cathcart’s Kitty Song-Covey as she travels to Seoul for a life-changing year. In Seoul, she meets up with her long-distance boyfriend, Dae, played by Minyeong Choi. From there, things get a little crazy because this is high school after all!

Minyeong Choi plays Kitty’s love interest, Dae, in XO, Kitty
Dae Heon Kim is Kitty’s long-distance boyfriend. They’ve been dating for 4 years after they met when she was on a trip to South Korea. When Kitty comes to Seoul to attend the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS), which is also the school Dae goes to, everything doesn’t go as smoothly with Dae as she expected.
“What I love about Dae is that he is warmhearted,” the actor told Tudum. “When he wants to win someone’s heart, he only uses the sincerity. He knows how important love is.” Minyeong also told Netflix that he was “obviously delighted” to have been cast as Dae, but he admitted he was “a little nervous, too. I instantly started thinking about how I would handle this opportunity well and what I should work on before shooting to do my best.”
Minyeong Choi is a South Korean actor
Prior to XO, Kitty, Minyeong appeared in K-dramas like Twenty Five Twenty One, Itaewon Class, Mr. Sunshine, and more. He made his debut in 2014. He’s currently filming the movie Dream Palace. XO, Kitty marks his first American project.
