Jaime Lynn Ruiz has had a wild experience on Survivor so far. The Season 44 contestant played the first successful Shot in the Dark at her first tribal council, and then she was swapped to a different tribe, where she’s completely outnumbered. Jaime believes she has two Hidden Immunity Idols, but little does she know that one of them is fake. Luckily, her real idol should keep her safe until it expires at the merge. Like we said, it’s been a wild ride for Jaime so far, and the game is not even halfway over! Learn more about Jaime below.

Jaime lives in Arizona.

Jaime is from Mesa, Arizona and she still lives there today! She’s the only season 44 contestant that lives in Arizona.

She’s a marketing consultant.

Jaime’s worked as a marketing consultant for 10+ years. She talked about how her job prepared her for Survivor in a pre-game interview with CBS. “While I was climbing that ladder, I had to create alliances and strategize on how I was going to get to the next promotion,” Jaime said. “Survivor helped me succeed in corporate America, but now corporate America is going to help me succeed in Survivor.”

She’s also a Yogi.

Jaime is the co-founder of The Foundry Sol, a nonprofit yoga and fitness organization. Jaime said in her CBS interview that “yoga and meditation is going to be my guiding light” to succeed on Survivor.

She’s into gardening.

Jaime has shown her passion for gardening to the other castaways on Survivor. She also gardens on her Instagram. In February, she showed off her carrot harvest in her backyard.

She’s already made ‘Survivor’ history.

Jaime made history on the premiere episode of Survivor 44, when she became the first contestant to successfully play the Shot in the Dark. Jaime didn’t actually need to use it, since no one voted for her at that tribal, but it was still awesome to see her play the twist correctly.
