Kim Kardashian is one of today’s biggest fashion icons, but it’s not without some help. The reality star has been focused on creating a name for herself in the fashion industry since her split from Kanye West. She’s already scored major collaborations with designers like Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
By her side throughout the process has been her stylist, Danielle Levi. Danielle has popped up in photos alongside Kim for years, and she’s about to be heavily featured on season 3 of The Kardashians. Learn more about Danielle below!
What Nationality Is Danielle Levi?
Danielle — who goes by Dani — is Jewish and was born in Jerusalem, Israel. “I wasn’t physically surrounded by fashion [as a child],” she told Forbes. “When I moved to America as a teen, high school was a culture shock. I was wearing modest, baggy linen clothing and everyone was dressed in Abercrombie. I didn’t fit in at all. I felt like an outcast and just wanted to connect with other kids and feel like I belong so I started to study fashion, read magazines, watch music videos.”
Danielle is proud of her heritage. She often includes Hebrew translations in the captions of her social media posts, as well, as a nod to her first language.
How Did Danielle Become A Stylist?
After recognizing her passion for fashion, Danielle studied design at Accademia Italia in Italy. In this program, she learned what she didn’t want to do in the industry, as the school was more technical than creative. “We were taught business, marketing, patternmaking,” Danielle explained. “It was all classes that kept me from feeling like a creative. I got into styling so I could be more free.”
Once she finished college, Danielle worked as a stylist intern, where she assisted stylists for various celebrities. She wound up connecting with Mel Ottenberg, who worked with Rihanna. Dani worked as Mel’s assistant for two years.
How Did Danielle Levi Start Working For Kim Kardashian?
Danielle initially worked with Kanye before she teamed up with Kim. She connected with Kanye’s team through Mel and worked as a stylist assistant before being promoted to a stylist. While working under Kanye, she got to also pursue her design passions. “When I was working with Ye, he had a Yeezy atelier available and we were never limited to what exists,” she told CR Fashion Book in a 2022 interview. “We were always creating, so I’ve always been designing because he wants to be ahead.”
In recent years, Danielle has been styling Kim, and teamed up with Kim to help the reality star curate a collection with Dolce & Gabbana in 2022. “It’s never monotone, never boring,” she said, of working with Kim. “Everything is getting bigger and bigger. Every time I think she’s reached the top, she goes even further and she does stuff that’s unpredictable.”
Danielle Is Dating Ben El Tavori
While Danielle mostly keeps her personal life out of the public eye, she’s been linked to Israeli singer Ben El Tavori since 2022. Fans first noticed Danielle pop up in a photo on Ben’s Instagram Story. At the beginning of 2023, Ben appeared to take Danielle home to Israel to meet his family, as she appeared in a photo with his mother, Aviva, on her Instagram Story at the time.
In December 2022, Danielle posted a rare photo of Ben on her Instagram feed in honor of her dog’s birthday. The shot shoed Ben cozying up to the pup in bed. “HBD my little Michael Jackson, the love of our life,” she captioned the pic.
Danielle Levi’s Social Media
Danielle is on Instagram, but her page is very specifically curated. Her feed is mostly shots of Kim in looks that Danielle styled. Very rarely does she share personal images on the page.
“My Instagram feed reflects what the inside of my mind looks like,” Danielle explained to Forbes. “If you scroll down to the beginning, it’s me at my maximum self. And then as you scroll up, I archived most of my photos and it gets more and more ‘commercial’ and less ‘out there’ because everyone in this fashion game around me tells me I need to be more mainstream if I want to succeed and have a social following to get great deals and clients. I still have people trying to put me in a box all the time and tell me what to do with Instagram.”
