  • Queen Camilla is King Charles’ second wife. The pair have been wed since 2005.
  • Before Charles, Camilla was married to Andrew Parker Bowles from 1973 to 1995.
  • Camilla and Andrew had two kids: Tom and Laura.

Queen Camilla has been King Charles‘ wife for nearly twenty years. The pair married in 2005, after first connecting during a secret affair during Charles’ marriage to the late Princess Diana, whom he had his two sons Prince William and Prince Harry with. Each was the other’s second marriage, and Charles and Camilla didn’t have children together. When Charles has his coronation in May, it’s been reported that Camilla will go by Queen Camilla, rather than Queen Consort.

Before beginning her relationship with King Charles, Camilla was wed to former British Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles from 1973 to 1995. The pair divorced shortly after reports of the affair between Charles and Camilla became public in the early 90s. During Camilla and Andrew’s marriage, the pair had two children: Tom Parker Bowles, 48, and Laura Lopes, 45. Find out everything you need to know about Camilla’s two kids here.

Tom Parker Bowles

Camilla and Andrew welcomed their elder child Tom in December 1974, shortly after tying the knot. Tom attended both Eton College and the Worcester School at Oxford University, and after graduating he began a career in writing as a food critic. As a culinary journalist, Tom has travelled the globe and explored a wide variety of different eats, and he’s chronicled his delicious adventures for outlets like The Mail and Esquire. Additionally, he’s penned a number of cook books and food-related reads, like Fortnum and Mason. He’s also brought his excellent taste to TV appearing as a judge and host on shows like Family Food Fight, Food Glorious Food, and and Saturday Kitchen, per IMDb

Outside of his culinary journeys, Tom did marry Sara Buys, an associate editor of Harpers and Queen and senior editor of British Town And Country in 2005. They have a daughter Lola, 15, and a son Frederick. The pair divorced in 2018. Tom started dating journalist Alice Procope in 2019, who he was with until her death in March 2021 from cancer. Even though Tom’s mom is set to become the queen, he has said that he and his sister don’t really get involved with the Royals as much. “My mother married into it. She’s part of it. We’re the common children. We’re just on the side,” he said in an August 2019 interview with Good Morning Britain, per Express

Laura Lopes

Camilla and Andrew had their daughter Laura on New Year’s Day 1978. Like her brother, Laura has a job outside of the Royal family. She’s an art curator! She’s been married to chartered accountant Harry Lopes since 2006, and they have three kids: a daughter Eliza, 15, and twin sons Gus and Louis, both 13.

While she’s not technically a member of the Royal family, she reportedly used to get into major arguments with her step-brother Prince William. Katie Nicholl claimed that the Prince of Wales and his step-sis use to fight about both of their parents’ splits. “William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes,” Katie wrote in her 2010 book Harry and William, per Yahoo“William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother, which would send Laura into a rage. Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William ‘your father has ruined my life.'”

While there may have been some drama early in their relationship, it appears that Laura and her step-brother have made up over the years, and Eliza was even the flower girl during William’s wedding to Kate Middleton, per The Sun.
