How Did Nick & Brett Meet?
Nick and Brett met in 2011 when he was working for the Kansas City Chiefs. He started working for the team in 2009 as the offensive quality control coach, and was eventually promoted to wide receiver coach. He was with the team until 2013. Meanwhile, Brett is a Missouri native, and the two were living in the same apartment complex when Nick was working there. Brett’s sister eventually convinced her to go out with Nick.
“Obviously, meeting my wife there, that will always be a special place for us,” Nick told The Athletic. “Then professionally, my first stint in the NFL. Obviously it was really important both ways.” Nick and Brett went on to tie the knot in June 2013, just two years after meeting.

In the ten years since they got married, Nick and Brett went on to have three children together: two sons, Miles and Jacob, and a daughter, Taylor, who is 5. Brett and Nick mostly keep their children out of the public eye. However, when the Eagles won the NFC Championship in January, the kids joined their dad at a press conference post-game.

These days, Brett is a supportive wife and mom amidst her husband’s busy career. However, when she first met Nick, she was working as a teacher in Missouri. Brett ended her teaching career in 2013, just weeks before she married Nick. “I loved my job, I loved everything about Kansas City,” she admitted. “I loved Nick more, so it was all worth it.”
Where Does Brett Live?
After marrying Nick, Brett moved several times for the sake of her husband’s career. The two have lived in San Diego, Orange County, California and Indianapolis. Now, the family lives in New Jersey, which is where they’ve resided since Nick started coaching the Eagles in 2021.
‘I was from Missouri and had never moved out of Missouri,” Brett admitted, of moving to San Diego. “I hit reality and realized I’m in the most beautiful place ever, but it’s kind of difficult because he works all the time.”
