Emma and Sasha first started dating back in 2011, but they split in 2014. A year later, the couple reunited. Sasha went on to propose during a live episode of Dancing with the Stars. Emma and Sasha got married in 2018. Four years later, the couple separated. “They both have not been wearing their wedding rings and are each leading a single life,” a source told Us Weekly in August 2022.
Just weeks later, Emma and Sasha competed on Dancing with the Stars season 31. Despite their breakup, they remained total professionals throughout the season. Sasha was paired up with Selma Blair, while Emma was with Trevor Donovan.

Emma cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind her split from Sasha and listed April 2022 as their date of separation.
In her August 2023 interview on the Viall Files podcast, Emma revealed the reason why she and Sasha divorced. “It’s really the kid thing,” she said. “It’s interesting because I do want to have kids, I just don’t want to delay Sasha’s path in having kids because I know that he is ready for that. I don’t want to talk about him too much because that’s really for him to say, but it’s about kids.”
Emma admitted that their split had “nothing to do” with anything Sasha did. “He’s always been very much himself. It’s me that’s found it difficult to understand why I’m feeling different,” she explained.
Despite their breakup, Emma and Sasha remain close. “We’re still like family, so it isn’t really like the love is not there, it’s actually not that at all,” the pro dancer revealed. “We’re just at potentially two different places.”

For DWTS season 32, Emma is paired with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky, who is currently separated from Kyle Richards. On October 22, Emma and Mauricio, 53, were spotted holding hands as they went to a restaurant in Beverly Hills, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Emma and Mauricio have not responded to the romance rumors that are swirling, but a source did tell TMZ that the DWTS pair have become “far more connected and closer than ever.” They have bonded over Mauricio opening up about his most memorable year, which is the theme of the October 24 episode.
Amid ongoing divorce speculation, Mauricio recently gave an update about his relationship with Kyle, 54. “We were dealing with our own things, kind of, super quietly and internally, just our own issues,” Mauricio said on The Agency’s Red Mic podcast in September 2023. “I mean, certainly, we’re not separated. We’re not divorced at this point. We are not any of that stuff. We’re still dealing with our marriage.”
