Vera Wang looks incredible at 74, and she recently revealed that she lets herself enjoy McDonald’s and cocktails on a regular basis. “I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely,” the fashion designer told Page Six Style at the DKMS Gala in New York City, NY on Thursday night. “I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”
Vera also admitted she also loves to get treats, like the donuts she received for Mother’s Day in the post below, at New England favorite Dunkin’ Donuts. “I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut,” she said. “It’s like a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too.”
Vera’s admissions come after she made headlines for posting amazing photos of herself back in 2020, when she was 70. She wore an orange sports bra and denim shorts and looked confident. The snapshots received a lot of compliments from followers and many of them pointed out how ageless she looked. “Homegirl just went and unsubscribed from aging,” one Twitter user tweeted at the time, while another asked, “wtf is she drinking, unicorn blood?! Unreal.”
After receiving the epic compliments, Vera was shocked and told her online fans that her ageless secrets were simply “work, sleep, a vodka cocktail [and] not much sun.”
In addition to letting herself enjoy treats, Vera said working hard is what also helps to keep her ageless and healthy. “Basically, I’ve worked my whole life, so it’s really been about work,” she explained. “I think work keeps you young and stimulated. I work very long hours, I’ve raised two daughters. I think keeping busy is the best antidote [for] good health.”
Vera’s two daughters are Cecilia Becker, 33, and Josephine Becker, 30. She shares them with her former husband Arthur Becker, whom she was married to from 1989 until 2012. When she’s not focused on work, which includes dressing celebrities in memorable looks and looking amazing herself on red carpets, the beauty is busy with her family.
