Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at the Texas F1 Grand Prix over the weekend, and it was a solo trip! The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex showed up without his wife, Megan Markle, to the October 22 Circuit of the Americas event. Harry was spotted talking with George Russell, a British driver, at the start of the event.

Harry was all smiles throughout the day, as the longtime F1 and racing fan that he is. The former royal visited the Red Bull Garage in addition to Mercedes F1. Several other well-known names also attended the action-packed day, including Joe Jonas, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Grace Moretz. In the past, Harry has proven his dedication to British motor racing. In 2020, he partnered with racer Lewis Hamilton to create the Silverstone Experience in the U.K., which takes guests into the history of the sport.

Though Harry wasn’t accompanied by Meghan, 42, this time around, the couple recently returned from a vacation to the Caribbean earlier this month. Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared during the Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age in New York City on October 10.

The summit focused on the relationship between adolescents and social media, and Meghan addressed how parents can ensure their children aren’t negatively affected by the ongoing digital trends.

“I think by design, there was an entry point that was supposed to be positive in creating community and something has devolved, and there’s no way to hear that and not try to help these families have their stories be heard,” the former Suits actress explained. “But I will say, I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again, quite young. So, this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it’s continuing to change. And this will be in front of us. As they say, ‘Being a parent, the days are long but the years are short.’ So, it worries me. But I’m also given a lot of hope and a lot of energy by the progress we’ve made in the last year.”

Meghan and Harry share children Archie and Lilibet together. Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, the duo has dedicated their time to promoting mental health awareness. Additionally, they’ve released their own depictions about their time in the royal family, including their docuseries, Harry & Meghan. Harry also published a memoir, detailing his strained relationship with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William. The book broke the entire internet earlier this year, as it includes bombshell revelations about Harry’s alleged arguments and disagreements with his family.
