Khloe Kardashian, 36, took her daughter True Thompson, 2, to visit her father Tristan Thompson, 29, over Christmas, but don’t expect her to be packing her belongings for more than a short getaway. “She has no plans of leaving LA for Boston full-time,” a source close to the Good American co-founder told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “So they’ll continue to do the best they can,” they added.
The Boston Celtics player was picked up during the off season and moved abruptly from Los Angeles where he had been spending time with the ladies in his life. Khloe and Tristan seemed pretty inseparable since the spring when the coronavirus pandemic halted the NBA season. Although they weren’t officially back together on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians finale, they clearly share a close bond when it comes to True.
The exes have dealt with their fair share of ups and downs over the years. After Tristan was caught kissing Kylie Jenner’s former BFF, Jordyn Woods, 23, he’s gone above and beyond to show that he’s a changed man. “This is a totally different experience than a year ago and he’s made a 180 for both of them,” our source added. “He’s very present and checks in often on them.”
Having a child with someone in the NBA seems challenging while Khloe holds things down in LA, but they’re determined to find a way to make it work. “Khloe will definitely be taking True to visit Tristan,” the source said. “They won’t be visiting as frequently as normal because of COVID, but she wants to make sure True gets to see her father. It’s been hard not having Tristan around as much, but they are on FaceTime often.”
It’s too soon to say how long the very different sports season will be for Khloe and Tristan to navigate. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to challenge everyone, the shortened season won’t be affecting the basketball star’s future plans. “Tristan is planning on returning to LA when the season is over.”
