Iggy Azalea Slams Playboi Carti: Claims He Skipped Son’s 1st Xmas & Won’t Sign Birth Certificate

UPDATE (10/25/20, 12:46 PM ET): After accusing Playboi Carti of missing Christmas with his nine-month-old son Onyx, Iggy Azalea continued her Twitter rant about her ex a few hours later on Dec. 25. This time, Iggy claimed that the “Whole Lotta Red” rapper is allegedly refusing to sign their son’s birth certificate, and that she wasn’t “allowed back” into the home she once lived in with Carti.

We lived together at that time,” Iggy vented in a tweet. She continued, “And even tho onyx was a PLANNED baby, that we both wanted. On some weirdo sh-t he has still refused to sign his birth certificate. He’s 9months old. Won’t even give his son he claims to care so much about his own last name.”

Iggy then shared a photo of Onyx’s birth certificate, which revealed that the baby boy took on Iggy’s legal last name (her real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly). “Imagine how trash you are to do this to your first born son,” Iggy wrote over the birth certificate photo.

Iggy moved on to her next grievance with her ex. “I left our house with my son after a fight in may and then when I came back a week later with my son all my personal shit had been locked in a guest bedroom,” the “Bounce” rapper tweeted, and posted another follow-up tweet: “We were never allowed back, and so I had to live in an air bnb for months in LA before I could figure out getting a place of my own. This is all while he is supposedly ‘working on getting his family back’ let’s talk about it.” She finished off her rant by writing, “And I dare you to say ANYTHING because I can keep on going with this for days.” You can see Iggy’s original tweets below:

ORIGINAL: Iggy Azalea‘s Christmas gift for Playboi Carti came in the form of a Twitter rant. In the early hours of Christmas morning, the 30-year-old rapper accused her 24-year-old ex — without naming him — of not spending the holiday with their infant son, Onyx, after Carti dropped his new album Whole Lotta Red at midnight on Dec. 25. “Too bad you got an album out but can’t even come to Christmas with your own son,” Iggy claimed in her first tweet. “And I was gonna keep it cute and let you live but nah, Not after I just peeped that trifling sh-t. TRIFLING!,” Iggy exclaimed over Twitter. The “Kream” rapper faced some backlash for calling out Carti on the day that was both a holiday and his album release date, but Iggy retweeted one fan who wrote, “yall are mad at iggy for wanting her father to be in her child’s life … strange.” To that, Iggy replied by claiming that Carti wanted them to have a child together: “A child he asked for. Btw,” she wrote.

Iggy even claimed that she had just spoken to Carti (real name Jordan Terrell Carter) in-person the night before her Twitter rant. “To clarify this man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me,” the Australian-born rapper wrote in another tweet, adding, “So this is very much NOT me being bitter, it’s me not ducking with trifling a– sh-t that happens at the expense of my son.”

To conclude her rant, Iggy tweeted, “Everything not for the net, but at a certain point when someone just taking advantage like CRAZY airing it out is all you can do. Night.” HollywoodLife has reached out to Carti’s rep for comment. While Iggy’s holiday plans may not have gone as planned, she still appeared to make fun memories with Onyx on his very first Christmas. A few hours after calling out Carti over Twitter, Iggy shared a photo in which she was smiling and holding Onyx by a stack of Louis Vuitton bags. “The only person who can make me smile with teeth daily. Merry Christmas to everyone!,” the happy mom captioned the photo.

Iggy shared even more photos of Onyx afterwards; one showed the baby boy sitting on a Santa Claus impersonator’s lap, looking a bit puzzled, and another was a throwback photo of Iggy carrying Onyx. “An oldie but a goodie. Gotta complete the row! Sorry to spam,” Iggy captioned the latter.

Iggy also went off on Carti over Twitter in October, revealing that they had split. At the time, Iggy wrote in an Instagram Story that “You lost a real 1” (again, without ever naming Carti specifically). She continued, “People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone. One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves. That sh-t don’t eat y’all up inside?” After that rant, Iggy clarified a few days later that Onyx is still “loved” by his dad and that both parents have both been in Onyx’s “life from day 1.”

Leading up to Christmas, HollywoodLife learned how Iggy felt about Carti joining her and Onyx’s Christmas celebrations. “The ball is in his court, if he wants to make the effort she will allow it. But it’s totally up to him, she’s not going out of her way for him,” a source close to Iggy EXCLUSIVELY told us on Dec. 22.  The insider added, “All she cares about is making it a magical day for her son. He’s still a baby so a lot of it will go over his head but that won’t stop her from pulling out all the stops and getting lots of presents for him. She’s going to have the best Christmas ever because of her baby boy.” Iggy revealed that she had a son in June, following a secret pregnancy.
