Arie Luyendyk Jr., 39, and his wife Lauren, 29, are getting ready to welcome not one but two precious bundles of joy! The parents shared three new sonogram pics of their babies in an Instagram announcement that shared the happy news they’re expecting twins. “2 little miracles. Love them with all my heart already ❤️ @luyendyktwins ❤️,” the caption for the Dec. 21st post read.
Once the post was shared, it didn’t take long for their followers to respond with comments of joy. “TWINS WOW first bachelor twins 👏👏,” one follower wrote. “OMG😍 congratulations!!✨” another enthused while a third gushed, “Welcome to the twin club!” Others left them cute red heart emojis and clapping hands emojis.
Arie and Lauren’s exciting announcement comes two days after the lovebirds shared the news they’re expecting with some pictures and an adorable video, which can be seen below, that showed them and their 18-month-old daughter Alessi walking outside as she wore a white shirt that had the words “Big Sister” on it in black letters. “It’s hard to know what to say right now. I’ve been crying on and off for the past 3 months…right now is no different. So so grateful.🌈,” Lauren wrote in the caption for the video.
Arie and Lauren’s twins announcement is especially sweet since the Bachelor couple went through a heartbreaking miscarriage just seven months ago. They shared the devastating news with their followers in a YouTube video back in May and opened up about the painful experience. “We were planning to share our journey through pregnancy with you, but unfortunately we didn’t get the happy story we had hoped for,” they said in the video.
The happy husband and wife were married in 2019 after meeting on The Bachelor and eventually becoming engaged in March 2018. They announced they were expecting their first child in Nov. 2018 and welcomed little Alessi in May 2019. Since they became a couple, they’ve been thrilled about sharing their experiences with their followers and will surely continue as Lauren’s pregnancy progresses. We’re looking forward to it!
