Shawn Mendes, 22, and Camila Cabello, 23, got Miley Cyrus‘ stamp of approval when they teamed up to sing a cover of her 2009 hit song, “The Climb” on Dec. 18! The singing lovebirds sounded amazing in the clip, which was posted to Shawn’s official TikTok page, and it didn’t take long for Miley herself to make a positive joke in the comments section. “Let’s have a three way,” the comment read.

The cheeky response may have been a bit surprising to some viewers, but since Miley is known for her fun personality, it was great to see her using it to express her appreciation for Shawn and Camila’s talent. The musicians’ vocals were very strong and worked together quite smoothly so it must have been a great treat for the “Wrecking Ball” crooner to see one of her songs still being sung and loved.

Before Shawn and Camila shared their incredible new video, they got their followers’ attention by revealing that they adopted a sweet puppy. Shawn posted some pics and videos of the cute pooch named Tarzan, in early Nov., and the party of three all seemed to be completely comfortable together as they cuddled and shared other memorable moments. Shawn has also previously said that his lady love is perfect at taking care of the new addition.

Shawn and Camila’s new dog is just one of the many things they have to be excited about in the last few months. They have been quarantining together since the coronavirus hit and have been taking in a lot of quality time with each other, which has undoubtedly made them closer. The doting boyfriend even recently opened up about how much his dad even loves Camila, in a new interview.

“My dad is never very serious about things, but he would always bug me and be like, ‘How’s my daughter-in-law doing?’,” he said on the Zach Sang Show on Dec. 5. He also sparked engagement and/or marriage speculation when he admitted to talking about the life decision with Camila, who he’s been dating since July 2019.

“It’s like a real partner, a partner in crime, you have someone to bounce any ideas off of,” he said when discussing their relationship. “The hardest ideas, which is the life ones, and yeah, we always talk about that stuff.”
