Dr. Anthony Fauci has revealed that he personally vaccinated Santa Claus ahead of Christmas Day. The nation’s leading infectious disease expert, who will celebrate his 80th birthday on December 24, told curious children that Kris Kringle is safe to deliver presents. During a ‘Sesame Street’ town hall on December 18, a child named Lucy, 8, from San Rafael, California asked the question, “How did Santa get the vaccine and is it safe for him to go in the house?”

The doctor replied, “Well, I have to say I took care of that for you because I was worried that you’d all be upset,” Dr Fauci said, adding, “I vaccinated Santa Claus myself. I measured his level of immunity and he is good to go. You have nothing to worry about.” This wasn’t the first time he had reassured children about Santa’s health ahead of Christmas Day. “Santa is exempt from this because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity,” he USA TODAY  last month.”Santa is not going to be spreading any infections to anybody.”

Dr Fauci was previously in the news after Donald Trump, 74, complained that “nobody” likes him, while the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director had a higher approval rating. After the U.S. president’s rating dropped to a low of 38 percent in June, Trump voiced his complaints at a press conference about the COVID-19 pandemic. “I have a very good relationship with Dr. Fauci. It’s sort of  interesting. We’ve listened to Dr. Fauci. I haven’t always agreed with him, that I think is pretty standard. That’s OK,” Trump said in July. “[Fauci] did not want to ban…put up the ban to China when China was heavily infected, very badly, Wuhan. He didn’t want to do that and I did and other things. And he told me I was right and he told me I saved tens of thousands of lives, which was generous.”
