Fans watched Ricky Martin‘s 12-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino grow up before their eyes. But when it comes to the latest addition to his family, they got a rare treat when the 48-year-old singer shared a peek at his 14-month-old son Renn in a Dec. 17 Instagram photo. Ricky posted a black and white version where the toddler appeared to be in the arms of his husband Jwan Yosef, 36, who shared the same photo to his IG page but in color. Ricky captioned the shot “My baby Renn” in Spanish, while Jwan called him “Mi Renncito.”
In the photos, Renn’s big brown eyes were looking slightly off-camera, as his light brown hair and eyebrows were clear in the color shot. Renn was dressed in a red polo shirt with tan khaki shorts, as the little guy stretched his arms out on both sides. It appeared that Jwan was holding the tot while wearing a white long sleeve shirt and matching pants, with just the tip of his bearded chin visible.
Fans got their first look at Ricky and Jwan’s youngest child shortly after Renn’s birth, and he’s grown so much since then. On Oct. 29, 2019, The “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer posted an IG photo announcing, “Our son Renn Martin-Yosef has been born,” while holding the infant, who was wrapped in a white blanket with colorful pear patterns on it.
Ricky became a first-time dad at 35 with his twins, but has since welcomed two more children since marrying Jwan in 2017. Their daughter Lucia Martin Yosef was born just before New Year’s Eve 2018, but the couple didn’t show off her face in a photo until Aug. 8, 2019 Instagram photo. In the caption, the hunky King of Latin Pop wrote, “The light in my eyes” about his only daughter, who is seen in the picture below. All four of Ricky’s children were carried via a surrogate.
Ricky told Out magazine in an Aug. 2020 interview about the challenges of having two babies as he closes in on age 50. “Listen, I became a daddy when I was 35; it’s not the same thing when you’re 48. You need the energy!” he said. “And I’m strong, trust me, I’m healthy — I’m carrying two babies at the same time and the stroller and the backpack — but it’s a lot. It’s a big responsibility.” But one he is handling perfectly!
