When Game of Thrones premiered back in 2011, most of the cast were just kids! It was also most of the cast’s breakout roles. Kit Harington, 30, had never been on TV before playing Jon Snow. In the first episode of the series, Jon Snow was just as moody and brooding as he is in season 7. Except now he’s rocking that very sexy man bun. Jon Snow ages like a fine wine — he just gets better and better looking.

Arya (Maisie Williams), Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), and Sansa (Sophie Turner) were just kids. They looked so young in the first episode. This trio has gone through so much over the course of past 7 seasons. They haven’t shared a scene together since season 1! Season 7 is going to be the season of an epic Stark reunion for sure.

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) has also come a long way since season 1. When we first met the Mother of Dragons in the first episode, she was under her nasty brother Viserys Targaryen’s control. She was a dragon just waiting to break free. She’s gone from being a pawn in other people’s games to a true QUEEN.

Thankfully, Tyrion Lannister’s (Peter Dinklage) look evolved from the first episode. Yeah, I know they were trying to go for the whole Lannister look with him, but that seriously blonde hair was not a good look. Tyrion’s hair has gotten noticeably darker and he rocks a solid beard now. He may have that scar across his face, but he wears it nicely.

Game of Thrones season 7 is already shaping up to be the best and most epic yet. The show will premiere July 16 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
