Nick Carter, 37, Aaron Carter, 29, and their siblings are preparing to say their final goodbye to their father, Bob Carter, who died on May 16. The family is planning to honor Bob’s final wishes of being cremated, but they’ve added a personal twist, reports TMZ. Not only will Bob be cremated and have his ashes spread in the Gulf Coast near Key West, Florida as requested, but they will be combined with his late daughter, Leslie Carter, who died in 2012. According to the report, Leslie was also cremated after her death but her husband held onto her ashes until now.
A date hasn’t been set for the spreading of the ashes just yet, but it’s likely the Carter family will keep that very private. Thankfully, Leslie’s husband, Mike Ashton, is “on board” with the plan to spread her ashes with Bob’s. The ceremony will likely include Nick and Aaron, of course, as well as their two remaining sisters, Angel and Bobbie Jean. It’s going to be tough for them to come together and say final goodbyes to both Leslie and their father, but hopefully the release will help them all with the healing process. We’re definitely sending good vibes to the Carter family as they cope with their immeasurable loss.
