Whenever we see performers like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna in dramatic costumes we always wonder how they manage to ever use the bathroom. Are they wearing a diaper? A catheter? Well, Katy finally clued us in on the big secret surrounding her elaborate looks — a GoGirl! The songstress, 32, stopped by ELLEN to promote her upcoming album, where she also dished on the gorgeous outfit she wore to the 2017 Met Gala. She rocked an intricate outfit which was a fitting choice for the co-host of the night — but what did she do when she had to use the ladies room? That was Ellen’s million dollar question, and Katy didn’t hold back. “Yea, you know there was a lot of self control, practice, and GoGirls,” she said. “Do you know those little contraptions where you then get to urinate standing up?”
Ellen, (like us), seemed quite perplexed when she replied: “Nope!” Katy suggested she check it out online, but Ellen asked her for more of an explanation. “I’ve used them in several music videos because I always find myself in this predicament where I have a very extravagant, lavish, unrealistic, unpractical costume on. That’s just me I guess!” So, what exactly is a GoGirl? Is it like Depends? “It’s just like a nozzle that you can like, well you can put around you…anyways,” Katy explained.
After hearing Katy chat about her urination device we had to check it out for ourselves, so we headed over to the website. “Simply put, GoGirl is the way to stand up to crowded, disgusting, distant or non-existent bathrooms. It’s a female urination device (sometimes called a FUD) that allows you to urinate while standing up. It’s neat. It’s discreet. It’s hygienic,” the website reads. “GoGirl is easy to use. Just hold GoGirl against your body, forming a seal. Aim and, well, pee. Pretty simple, huh? GoGirl fits easily in your purse, pocket, or glove compartment. It’s a must for travel and sports. And it’s great for everyday – no more crouching over or trying to cover up an unsanitary public toilet.”
Have you heard of Katy’s urination device? Would you use one?
